Obvious Advocate - Money or Your Life

It became obvious to me I had to say something about the president’s daily propaganda briefings, confusing as much as anything, about the pandemic. We hear false rhetoric about how happy we should be that he is our president, in spite of him having been responsible for thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands deaths. Please, think about this. Misinformation every day while mixing in a few lies for good measure i.e., claiming more people had died from flu the other day than the virus. Not true of course. His reason obvious: down-play the virus.

But I don’t believe enough people actually say this: Trump has one agenda—keep the economy going and keep the markets up no matter the cost…and we only have until November. He knows if the back-up quarterback loses the game, he loses his job. Fired! (Can you imagine the master-firer getting fired?) He must get re-elected no matter the cost or how much blood is on his hands. As Colin Powell said: “It is no longer we the people, but me the president.”

I hope to Hades enough voters come to realize that a delusional narcissist bending to despotism and demanding fealty from his vassals, firing qualified people to hire unqualified Trumpets (Trump puppets), should not be a leader of any country much less one once considered the greatest in the world. One that used to be respected by other countries and world leaders. In less than three and a half years this is longer so. It should be obvious that “character” is important in a leader. Just like nobody likes or respects a playground bully and braggart, that takes credit when not due and blames others for his mistakes, has no friends. Neither does the U. S. any longer. Trump has alienated our neighbors and our allies, India the most recent. Many countries consider him a joke and, like myself, cannot imagine how he was elected. We need, especially in times like these, friends. I almost feel I have to compliment him: he is a remarkable antagonist…here in the U.S. and around the world. A “leader” unites, not divides. No? Of course he’s friendly with our enemies: Putin and Russia, the Sheik in Saudi, and has “fallen in love” with Kim in North Korea. My lord! (Ever ask yourself why our archenemy, Russia, who wants to harm us wants Trump as president?)

Due to his delusional narcissism he has blood on his hands, a lot of blood. Possible more than any other dictator-would-be, if he gets his way. Yes, it was unconscionable that China waited 30 days to come out about the “Chinese” virus (calling it that another example of deferring blame and making enemies), but 70 days?! While his people are dying? (Face it: he doesn’t care about you. He only cares about himself. Never shows remorse or empathy, because he doesn’t feel any. Well, he feels considerable empathy for himself).

Trumpets, how can you possibly explain that 70 days? You’ll have to spin yourself silly until you fall flat on your face. It’s obvious he was aware the pandemic was going to affect the economy and markets and his chance at re-election.

So, do what? Not act immediately to protect his citizens—us? No, deny and try to convince the people that there really is no problem. Ignore it and it will go away, miraculously! My God! Totally delusional. As if people would not know they’re dying. Have to keep the economy going? And Trumpets, tell me that disbanding the Pandemic Response Team had nothing to do with how unprepared we are. That’s totally on Trump, and his Republican enablers. There is no excuse for doctors, nurses, and any medical people to not have adequate supplies to not only keep people alive (Trumpets: what if it was your child, your brother, your parents?), but themselves safe. Totally unconscionable and unsupportable. Really, can you argue?

He’s extremely dangerous. He’s going to push to do anything to save himself. After the denial, and finally being forced to action by the public health community, he postures himself as our savior (do remember he is the second coming of Christ—unbelievable!). Another great character trait: hypocrisy. Then, next, the plan to open up the economy by Easter…because Easter is so special to him (can you really say you believe that?). And how beautiful it would be to see the churches full on Easter. Sure, would have been, but qualified minds prevailed. We’re going to constantly hear rationalizations like the virus is dissipating, we’ve got this vaccine, we’re doing such a great job, things are better… Don’t you dare believe this bullshit. I know some will. Trumpets are already saying idiotic things like: oh, it’s only the old people on their last legs dying (reprehensible); we should be willing to die for the economy (money or your life). Beware, I’m guessing, of a strategy of discrediting our public health officials. Why? It's obvious.

People: I realize, to many, I’m preaching to the choir. But those of you who are questioning your fealty to the would-be king, consider what your king is doing to America. I have never felt stronger about anything that Trump should not be our president. He’s the most dangerous person in America. This pandemic is the twilight zone. It is difficult for everybody. I’m sorry for you like I am for my family and friends. But, your 401(k), the economy will recover. If you’re dead, you won’t.

Please share if you're in agreement.
